These Terms of Service govern your use of On It GC's website and services. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Agreement to Terms

On It GC provides general contracting and maintenance services, including but not limited to construction, renovation, repair, and property maintenance services for residential and commercial properties in the Toronto and GTA area.
2.2 Acceptable Use
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable local, provincial, national, or international law
- Infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the rights of others
- Transmit any harmful code, viruses, or malicious software
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
- Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use of the services
- Use our services for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose
2.3 User Accounts
If you create an account with us, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Service Agreements and Contracts
3.1 Quotes and Estimates
All quotes and estimates provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Quotes are based on the information provided and site conditions at the time of assessment. Final costs may vary based on unforeseen circumstances, changes in scope, or client-requested modifications.
3.2 Service Contracts
Upon acceptance of a quote, a formal service contract will be provided detailing:
- Scope of work and deliverables
- Project timeline and milestones
- Payment terms and schedule
- Warranty information
- Terms and conditions specific to the project
Work will commence only after both parties have signed the service contract and initial payment (if applicable) has been received.
3.3 Changes to Scope
Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be documented in writing and approved by both parties. Changes may affect project timelines and costs. Additional charges for out-of-scope work will be communicated and approved before implementation.
3.4 Cancellation Policy
Cancellation terms are specified in individual service contracts. Generally, clients may cancel services with written notice. Cancellation fees may apply based on work completed, materials ordered, and scheduling impacts. Deposits may be non-refundable for work already commenced or materials procured.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Payment Schedule
Payment terms are specified in individual service contracts and may include deposits, progress payments, and final payment. Typical payment structure includes:
- Initial deposit: 30-50% upon contract signing
- Progress payments: At agreed milestones
- Final payment: Upon project completion and client acceptance
4.2 Payment Methods
We accept payment via cash, check, bank transfer, credit card, and debit card. Processing fees may apply to certain payment methods.
4.3 Late Payments
Payments are due as specified in the service contract. Late payments may result in work suspension, interest charges, and collection proceedings. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at the rate of 2% per month or the maximum rate permitted by law.
4.4 Disputed Charges
If you dispute any charges, you must notify us in writing within 10 days of receiving an invoice. We will investigate and respond within 15 business days.
5. Warranties and Guarantees
5.1 Workmanship Warranty
We warrant that all work will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner in accordance with industry standards. Warranty periods vary by service type and are specified in individual contracts. Generally:
- General construction work: 1-year warranty
- Structural work: 2-year warranty
- Specialty installations: Per manufacturer warranty
5.2 Materials Warranty
Materials are warranted by their respective manufacturers. We will assist in processing warranty claims for materials used in your project.
5.3 Warranty Exclusions
Warranties do not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or negligence
- Alterations or repairs performed by others
- Failure to perform recommended maintenance
- Acts of nature, accidents, or force majeure events
6. Liability and Insurance
6.1 Insurance Coverage
On It GC maintains comprehensive general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance. Certificates of insurance can be provided upon request.
6.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, On It GC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of our services.
Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
6.3 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless On It GC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of our services.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
The website, services, and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software) are owned by On It GC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise use our content without prior written permission. Project designs, plans, and specifications prepared by On It GC remain our property unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Client Responsibilities
To ensure successful project completion, clients agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about the project
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals (unless otherwise agreed)
- Ensure site accessibility and safe working conditions
- Secure valuable items and clear work areas as required
- Make timely decisions to avoid project delays
- Provide utilities (water, electricity) as needed for work
- Comply with payment terms
- Notify us promptly of any concerns or issues
9. Dispute Resolution
9.1 Good Faith Negotiation
In the event of any dispute arising from these Terms or our services, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good faith negotiation.
9.2 Mediation
If negotiation fails, both parties agree to participate in mediation before pursuing legal action. Mediation costs will be shared equally unless otherwise agreed.
9.3 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal proceedings shall be brought in the courts of Ontario.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of information provided through our website.
11. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, government actions, supply chain disruptions, or public health emergencies. In such cases, project timelines may be extended accordingly.
12. Privacy

13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any service-specific contracts, constitute the entire agreement between you and On It GC regarding the use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of our services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
